A Timeless Craft

PHOTO JOURNAL

Timeless means lasting forever. Timeless means having no beginning or end. Timeless means not affected by time. Instead, we live in a world where we're constantly confronted with time: how should we spend it, how can we make the most of it, how can we spend less of it, how can we be most productive, and on and on... We tell each other again and again that we are busy, that we just don't have the time. What if, instead of letting time define us, we define time. What if we make conscious decisions about how to spend our time and that if we want to enjoy a cup of coffee on a Saturday afternoon or take a detour on the way home from work, that's OK. What if we think about our ideas regardless of time. Only then will we give ourselves the opportunity to find out what it is we love to do.

Featured above is the Shinola Runwell 41mm White Watch with Dark Nut Brown Leather Strap. The watch, striking in its simplicity, features a sapphire crystal, a solid stainless steel case with screw down crown, and an engraved serial number on the back. Founded in 2011 in Detroit, Shinola was conceived with the belief that products should we well-crafted and built to last. The makers of modern watches, bicycles, journals and leather grounds stand for skill at large, the preservation of craft and the beauty of the industry. This post was created in partnership with Shinola, a brand I love and support.
